And… now…Todd’s end is near;
And so I’ve taped my final version.
My fans, your love is dear;
My time on ‘LIFE’ quite the excursion.
They hired me on as Walker Flynn;
Then flipped me as Todd Manning.
But more…much more than this
I played Todd my way.
Regrets? More than a few;
But only a few, I will unburden.
Todd did what was wrong to do;
And his redemption is still uncertain.
I planned Manning with care;
I cleaned him up, I clipped his hair.
But more…much more than this;
I played Todd my way.
For what is an ACTOR!
What has HE got?
If not himself, then he cannot
Say the things he truly feels:
"I won’t play Todd like the other guy!"
Let the critics crow! I’ll take the blow!
And play Todd my way.
I’ve loved, I’ve laughed, I even DIED.
Most storylines, not of my choosing
And now, eight years aside;
I find it all…quite confusing.
To think I endured all that;
And may I say, in a bold way,
Oh, no, no not me.
I did it my way!
Yes, there came a time, as though on CUE!
Disney bit more than it could ‘CHEW’!
And that’s not all:
When there was no doubt
Original Todd was IN! And I was OUT!
I braced it all, stood six feet tall.
